First and Last Name Bruce Turnblom -------------------------------------------- How many years have you been a mentor for FIRST? This is my 2nd year. -------------------------------------------- Tell us a little about your back ground (education, current job, ect...) I received an Associates of Science degree in Electronic Technology from Salt Lake Community College.  I have been with Micron for 12 years working in R & D Equipment Engineering.  Prior to that I worked for one of Microns competitors and also spent some time designing and building microwave antennas. -------------------------------------------- Why did you get involved as a FIRST mentor at MVHS? I have been involved with Microns K-17 program and was asked if I would try this. -------------------------------------------- Tell us about some of your hobbies. My hobbies include amateur radio, scuba diving, high power rockets and woodworking. -------------------------------------------- Share a story about your involvement as a mentor that you would like to share with others. I like the enthusiasm the kids show when they see the game each year.  Also the creativity they show as they design and build the robot and work through each issue they encounter.  I have not seen a problem that keeps them stopped for long.  The students always seem to have new ideas and new ways to accomplish their goals.   --------------------------------------------
